NETWORK | THE POWER OF ASSOCIATION

Network is your Net-worth. It is not about what you know but who you know that will determine your net-worth. Who has your ear? Do you give weight-age to anyone and everyone or do you have a selected panel of people that you counsel with? You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.

It is important to build a network of people but you need to be selective about it depending on where you want to end up in life. We all are climbing the ladder in a hurry but can you pause and think whether you want the view that you will be getting by reaching the top of that ladder?

Network I Mentors

Find mentors who can guide you when you are lost, who can pick you up when you twist your ankle and fall. Not only will you get the support but surrounding yourself with these people will elevate your level of thinking, habits, and overall lifestyle. Yes, you need to make a lot of mistakes by taking massive imperfect actions but you can not repeat the same mistakes without upgrading yourself.

Be intentional about who you spend your time with. My mentors talks about not spending one hour with a person who deserves your five minutes. Be careful because there are people with a negative outlook and they have the capability to suck you in their shit show. If you are not mentally strong, you might catch their disease. The people who lives in the past and their conversations revolve around constant bickering are the ones you should distance yourself from.

You need to associate with people who inspire you, people that challenge you to raise higher, people that make you better. Don’t waste your valuable time with people that are not adding to your growth. Your destiny is too important. – Joel Osteen

Once you find your mentors, latch on to them tight because it is not an everyday occurrence and it can alter your life for good.
