VISION | BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN SEE

Vision helps you see beyond what you can physically see without having any evidence of its existence at present. The strength of your Why will determine the strength of your vision and how actively you will pursue it. Why do you want something? How badly do you want that something? My mentor uses the example of GPS to put things in to perspective, no matter how good a GPS is, if you do not put in the destination, it can not lead you in the right direction.

Vision | “Why” will set your “What” and “How” straight

People focus on what to do and how to do before knowing why they want to do what they want to do. Why? Why, is a loaded question, like a Pandora box. Answering one opens the door for several why’s and people find it uncomfortable to acknowledge them and brush it under the rug of convenience. Why, makes you think about what drives you, what inspires you, and what motivates you! These questions address the deep-seated desires and waters the seeds of inspiration. The more you are emotional about your why, the more passionately you will make it happen.

Understanding why we do what we do comes with deep reflection of self. Once you recognize who you are and make peace with yourself, things will come to you naturally. Experiences in our lives also lend influence as to why we do the things we do. But we should not lose our experiences blur our sight. Experiences are lessons taught by life, and by all means we should use it to our benefit but fixating about situations and not having an open mindset hinders our growth in long run. Yes, you should be cautious but at the same time you should be willing to take a chance because no two experiences are the same.

When met with adversity, we don’t always ask the hard questions we should. Do not bypass the challenges, going through the obstacles is what prepares you, stretch you to your potential and is highly rewarding in the long run.
Rather than letting the challenges you encounter push you around, allow them to be your call of action—allow them to be the reason to push harder than using it an excuse to Quit!

Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world. – Joel A. Barker
